The King Universal Yield Scale combines all
the measurements needed into a single balance. Determine yarn count,
fabric yield and weight by simply selecting the desired units of
measure.
For years, the King method of using 8 samples to
determine fabric yield has provided the most accurate results
available. By cutting samples across the width of the fabric, the
variations from selvage to seam are averaged. Fabric yield is computed
in both oz/yd (squared) and gm/m (squared).
Yarn count can be determined using the standard sample length method to determine yarn count, denier and other common units.
The
King Universal Yield Scale is designed for use in the most demanding
environments. Auto-zero tracking minimizes the effects of temperature
changes, averaging levels minimize the effects of vibration, and spill
rings under a stainless steel platform prevent damage from spills.
Front panel calibration ensures that the scale maintains accuracy.
All AV212 Yield Scales have a 210 x 0.01 g capacity. All "C" models (e.g. AV212C-2) have internal calbration capabilities.
